03 What It Does / Configuration & Programming

What it is. The 803624-093A is the regulator board at the center of the 1397 drive’s control layer. It receives reference and feedback signals, applies the selected speed/voltage or torque/current regulation strategy, supervises conditions such as field loss, and interfaces with the drive terminal block and option boards.

How to configure it. Record the original jumper positions before removal. Match the replacement board’s J15, J20, J21, J19, J14, J11, J10, J12 and J18 positions to the documented machine settings. When AC tach feedback is used, the official instructions call for P.039 feedback type, P.047 tach volts/1000, and—only when needed—P.057 gain and P.058 zero adjustment.

Lock out and verify all incoming power, use ESD controls, photograph every connector and terminal, move wiring one point at a time, and complete controlled commissioning with overspeed protection active. Incorrect tach polarity or scaling can cause an overspeed condition; qualified drive personnel should perform setup.
