Live-Maintenance (RIUP) Functionality
Module replacement is permitted while the backplane is energized when installed on an RX3i Universal Backplane. This hardware supports RIUP (Removal and Insertion Under Power), allowing field engineers to swap modules without decommissioning the active PLC process or cycling system power.
Field-Side Sourcing Requirements
The IC694MDL742 acts strictly as a sinking switch. External field devices must be energized by an independent external power source, with the module completing the circuit to the negative rail.
