Mechanical Installation
- The SDCS-DSL-4 board is installed by direct insertion into connector X8 on the SDCS-CON-4 control board
- Electrical and data interfaces are established automatically upon correct mounting
Communication Interface: DCSLink
DCSLink serves as a high-speed, deterministic communication interface supporting the following system functions:
- External Field Exciter Interface - Enables communication between the drive system and an external field exciter, ensuring synchronized excitation control and monitoring
- Master-Follower Configuration - Supports coordinated control between multiple drives, allowing torque, speed, or current reference sharing
- 12-Pulse System Communication - Facilitates phase-shift coordination in 12-pulse rectifier applications, improving harmonic performance and system stability
- Drive-to-Drive Communication - Enables direct data exchange between drives, supporting fast synchronization and control coordination
