Allen Bradley 1761-NET-AIC AIC+ Advanced Interface Converter
The AIC+ interface converter supports interconnection between a variety of Allen-Bradley devices and PC systems. Compatible devices include:
- SLC 500 Processors - Models 5/01, 5/02, and 5/03 (Channel 1)
- SLC 500 Processors - Models 5/03, 5/04, and 5/05 (Channel 0)
- MicroLogix Controllers
- Logix Controllers
- 1756-DH485 ControlLogix Module
- Operator Interface Devices
- Personal Computer Serial Ports - Any 9-pin DTE serial port
- Modems
Key Features: The AIC+ acts as a bridge between serial devices and ControlNet or DH485 networks. Supports multiple channels to allow connection of different processor families simultaneously. Ensures reliable communication between legacy and modern Allen-Bradley controllers.
Installation & Mounting
The AIC+ interface converter can be installed in either vertical or horizontal orientation. No spacing is required, except to allow full movement of the DIN-rail latch.
DIN Rail Installation Steps:
- Install the DIN rail at the desired location.
- Close the DIN-rail latch to prepare for mounting.
- Hook the top slot of the AIC+ over the DIN rail.
- Snap the module into position by pressing the AIC+ against the rail until it engages securely.
Installation Notes: Ensure the DIN-rail latch moves freely before final mounting. Both vertical and horizontal positions provide reliable operation. The installation supports standard DIN-rail systems, maintaining secure placement for industrial environments.
