Product Description
ATTENTION: Do not connect different ControlNet networks to this card. If you attempt to connect a second network to this card, your communication system will operate erratically.
The 1784-PCIC card connects a PC directly to a ControlNet network. Follow the procedures in ControlNet Coax Tap Installation Instructions (1786-IN007) and ControlNet Coax Media Planning and Installation Manual (CNET-IN002).
Connection Guidelines
- Non-redundant network: Connect the tap dropline to the Channel A BNC connector. Leave Channel B empty.
- Redundant network: Each channel must use its own cable. Connect all Channel A connectors to one cable and all Channel B connectors to the second cable.
Notes for Operation: Correct channel connections are critical. Proper installation prevents errors, ensures stable data transfer, and keeps the network reliable. Use consistent wiring practices across the system.
