The IC660BBD022 is a Genius protocol-enabled module from the Genius I/O Block family of distributed I/O modules. This stand-alone, single-node I/O station provides sixteen (16) configurable I/O circuits supporting source wiring configurations. Each circuit is rated for 24/48 VDC operation and can be individually configured as an input or output. Communication occurs through Genius I/O bus terminals, enabling data exchange with GE PLCs and PACs, as well as bus controllers, PC interface modules, HMIs, and compatible third-party devices.
This panel-mounted, open-type I/O block requires installation within a protective enclosure suitable for industrial environments. It supports remote mounting at distances up to 7,500 feet from the host controller and allows daisy-chaining of additional Genius I/O blocks to create distributed I/O networks. Local configuration is available through a Hand-Held Monitor (HHM) connected via the dedicated port on the terminal assembly, while remote configuration can be performed using the host controller's programming software.
The IC660BBD022 accepts 12/24 VDC nominal input signals with a 1.7 ms actuation delay. Output channels deliver up to 2 A per circuit with a maximum turn-on delay of 1 ms. The block supports operation with 2-wire and 3-wire sensors and includes configurable features such as output power default settings, selectable input filter times, and output pulse test functionality. Built-in diagnostics detect conditions including overload, overtemperature, short circuit, no-load, and failed switch events.
