Product Description
The Allen-Bradley 1785-L20C PLC-5 is a ControlNet programmable controller and processor. This unit ships with a comprehensive installation kit containing a 1770-XYC lithium battery, battery cover with screw, two keys, four 150-Ohm and two 82-Ohm terminating resistors, DIN rail connector cover, two 3-pin connectors, and a 1784-CP7 cable adapter.
Installation Safety: Always use an approved ground point during installation and avoid touching connector pins or the backplane connector. When not in use, store the processor in its static-shielded container to prevent electric shock and hardware damage.

The 1785-L20C front panel includes comprehensive status indicators and controls:
- Red battery indicator light
- Red/green RUN/FAULT indicator
- Amber force indicator
- Red/green indicators for ControlNet I/O, Channel 2, and ACTIVE/FAULT Channel 0 Communication
- Memory module expansion space
- Dedicated battery compartment
- Multiple channel ports
- Key switch for selecting processor operating mode
Connectivity & Specifications
The 1785-L20C features a serial port, coprocessor port, and control coprocessor expansion port. This controller supports up to 512 of any I/O and 512 analog I/O, with capacity for up to 16 MCPs.
