The GE UR8NH Universal Relay is part of the Universal Relay (UR) family of protection and control products, built on a common modular platform. All UR products deliver high-performance protection, expandable I/O options, integrated monitoring and metering, high-speed communications, and extensive programming and configuration capabilities. The UR8NH provides a simplified power management solution for the protection of critical assets, whether used as a stand-alone device or as part of a larger power automation system.
The UR8NH is managed and programmed through EnerVista Launchpad, a powerful software package included with each relay. EnerVista Launchpad allows setpoints to be programmed, manages setpoint files, provides access to the latest firmware and documentation, and offers visibility into the substation automation system. This comprehensive management tool ensures reliable, efficient operation and simplifies the configuration of the UR8NH.
The UR8NH is available in multiple configurations, including a 19-inch rack horizontal mount or a reduced-size (¾) vertical mount unit. The relay system consists of modular components such as the power supply, CPU, CT/VT input, digital input/output, transducer input/output, inter-relay communications, communication switch, and IEC Process Bus, providing a flexible and scalable solution for modern protection and control applications.
