The Allen-Bradley 1746SC-IA8I is an economical and highly reliable isolated circuit input module. Its installation and operation are the same as other Allen-Bradley isolated input modules, making it easy to set up and use. To improve system integrity and prevent crossing phases, the 1746SC-IA8I features 1500 Volt input-to-input isolation. This allows it to work with multiple input types, synchronize easily with various input devices and proximity switches, and simplifies troubleshooting, maintenance, and monitoring of high-voltage control circuits while eliminating the need for extra relays and transformers.
The 1746SC-IA8I achieves high efficiency thanks to its 8 separate-common isolated inputs. It operates within a wide voltage range of 80-150 V AC at 47-63 Hz and 85-170 V DC. The module is compatible with a variety of switches, including proximity switches, selector switches, and limit switches, and can handle up to 8 input devices simultaneously.
Nominal current inputs for the 1746SC-IA8I are 16 mA at 120 V AC and 2.5 mA at 120 V DC, with a maximum input inrush current of 0.7 A at 120 V AC. Power dissipation is 4 W at 120 V AC or DC. The module is ideal for discrete input, sourcing, and sinking applications, providing a versatile and reliable solution for industrial control systems.
