Product Description
The IC693MDL741 is part of Emerson Automation's Series 90-30 Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) platform, formerly from GE Fanuc. This discrete output module supports negative logic wiring configuration and features sixteen (16) output LED indicators that display the operational state of each channel. The module delivers an output voltage range of 12 to 24 volts DC (+20%, -15%) with an output current rating of 0.5 Amperes per point and 2.0 Amperes per common, arranged in eight (8) channels per group.
While the module does not have individual channel isolation, it provides group isolation: 500 Volts between groups and 1500 Volts between the field side and logic side with optical isolation. A module insert allows users to write short descriptions of assigned outputs for easy identification.
The IC693MDL741 installs on a Series 90-30 baseplate, occupying a single slot, and can function as a local output component with the CPU baseplate or as a distributed I/O module. Its output characteristics include voltage drop of 0.5 Volts, off-state leakage of 1 mA, and Signal On and Off response time of 2 ms maximum. The module draws 110 mA from the 5VDC backplane when all outputs are energized.
This module is capable of energizing electrical loads such as motor starters, solenoids, indicating lamps, and annunciators. It may also be used with AC loads when an interposing relay is installed. The 16-point IC693MDL741 module can be installed in any slot of a Series 90-30 PLC with either a 5-slot or 10-slot baseplate.
The module sinks current from the loads to the negative power bus or user common, giving it negative logic characteristics. LEDs clearly indicate the on/off status of output points. Operating temperature range is 0 to 60°C, with storage temperature of -40 to 85°C.
