Brand Name:
Bently Nevada
A standard-mount proximity probe for non-contact machinery monitoring within the 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Transducer System.
Bently Nevada Datasheet 141194 Rev. AM
Designed for the 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Transducer System and its matched Proximitor Sensor chain.
Bently Nevada states that 3300 XL 8 mm components are electrically and physically interchangeable with non-XL 3300 5 mm and 8 mm components, with system performance then limited to the non-XL specification.
Used in machinery monitoring where shaft position and dynamic vibration are measured without physical contact with the target surface.
Probe, connector, cable or gap conditions may need inspection when a monitoring channel becomes unstable.
Incorrect gap or a disturbed transducer chain can affect the measured position signal.
Connector condition, cable routing and bend radius should be checked during troubleshooting.
Loss of a critical measurement channel can delay maintenance completion and machine return to service.
Install the probe within the specified mechanical limits and apply the required installation torque.
Set the probe gap according to the required measurement condition before commissioning the channel.
Maintain the specified bend radius and avoid excessive tensile or mechanical loading.
Connect the probe to the associated transducer chain and secure the connector correctly.
Confirm the appropriate Proximitor Sensor and monitoring arrangement before operation.
Check supply, continuity, gap voltage and monitor response before returning the channel to service.
Bently Nevada Datasheet 141194 covers the 3300 XL 8 mm probe ordering options, mechanical limits, system performance and installation-related requirements.
