Analog input for FIO systems

AAI143-H50/K4A00 is a Yokogawa analog input module for 16 isolated 4 to 20 mA input channels. The HART version supports digital communication with HART field devices, while the /K4A00 option uses the KS Cable Interface Adapter.

HART communication details

HART variables can be read by HART Command #3. Up to 16 HART devices and up to 32 HART variables can be handled per module.

HART multidrop supports up to 5 input devices per channel. Analog data value and burst function are not available in multidrop operation.

HART variable refresh is 1 second per device. With 16 devices connected, the refresh cycle is 17 seconds per ESB bus connection.

HART protocol revision: 5.7. Communication type: serial half duplex, start-stop synchronization, 1200 ±2 bps FSK.

03 / COMPATIBILITY & REPLACEMENT

FIO system position

The module belongs to the Yokogawa Fieldbus I/O (FIO) family. FIO I/O modules are installed in node units and communicate with the Field Control Unit through the FIO communication path.

Configuration check

Suffixes and terminal-interface options are configuration-specific. Check the complete part number before treating another AAI143 variant as a direct replacement.
