The Yokogawa EC402-50 ESB Bus Coupler Module (for N-IO/FIO, 2-Port) is a communication module designed to link the Field Control Unit with the Node Unit via the ESB Bus. It allows connectivity between these units through the ESB bus.
This module can be installed in Field Control Units for FIO models including AFV30S, AFV30D, AFV40S, AFV40D, A2FV50S, A2FV50D, A2FV70S, and A2FV70D. Installing two EC402 modules in a Field Control Unit enables the setup of a dual-redundant ESB bus.
The EC402 features two ESB bus connector ports on its front panel and supports a larger number of nodes compared to the EC401, allowing for greater transmission distances.
