Emerson KJ3002X1-BC1 12P0681X092 8-channel Analog Input Module with HART Pass-Through

8-channel Analog Input (AI) module for DeltaV S-Series and M-Series systems. Interfaces with 4-20mA field transmitters. Each channel includes a dedicated HART modem for concurrent digital data acquisition without affecting the analog PV (Process Variable) loop speed.

Onboard current monitoring detects "Bad" status if the loop circuit opens. If field junction box corrosion increases loop resistance beyond input impedance limits, the module flags a "Bad" status in DeltaV Explorer, allowing logic to automatically trip to a "Fail-Safe" state or switch to a secondary sensor.

Transparent bridge to AMS (Asset Management Solutions). Enables technicians to perform "Zero-Trims" or view secondary variables (like sensor temperature) remotely via DCS workstation, eliminating the need for handheld HART communicators in the field.

Features high Common Mode Rejection Ratio (CMRR). Utilizes galvanic isolation to decouple field-side transients from the backplane. Essential for preventing ground loop noise when transmitters are grounded at process taps rather than the control room.

Fully hot-pluggable on active I/O carriers. Replacement doesn't require controller reboot. Upon insertion, controller verifies module's 12P0681X092 ID and downloads channel configuration. "Active" LED must be solid green before PV is considered valid for logic execution.

Module-to-carrier interface uses specific keying positions. Prevents cross-voltage damage by ensuring incompatible modules (like 120V AC discrete modules) cannot be physically seated in low-voltage slots, protecting DC bus from accidental high-voltage injection.
