The ICS Triplex T8451C is a conformal-coated 24 VDC digital output module for safety-critical control. Triplicated processing and hardware voting supervise each output path while automatic diagnostics and field-line monitoring reveal faults without sacrificing the commanded state.

Can ICS Triplex T8451C replace T8451 without engineering changes?		 Do not approve substitution from the model name alone. T8451C denotes the conformal-coated Series C build. Match the installed module's complete label, Trusted system release, firmware, slot keying and field termination. A mismatch can prevent recognition or alter the approved safety configuration.
02 / LOAD STUDY
Is ICS Triplex T8451C suitable for our solenoids and relays?		 Check four values for every load: normal current below 2 A, combined current below 8 A in each eight-channel group, on-state current at least 50 mA, and inrush within the field circuit capability. Inductive loads also need the correct suppression arrangement; steady-state current alone is not enough.

What must be confirmed before an online ICS Triplex T8451C changeout?
