Application & Failure Scenarios

01 / SIGNAL LOSS

A missing or unstable signal may prompt inspection of the sensor, connector, cable, termination and monitoring input.

02 / VIBRATION CHANGE

Unexpected readings require checking the measurement chain before determining whether machine vibration has actually changed.

03 / MAINTENANCE

The exact configuration may be required to restore an existing bearing-housing or casing-vibration measurement point.

An unavailable vibration measurement can reduce machinery-condition visibility and delay fault assessment. Any protective shutdown impact depends on the installed monitoring system and its configured logic.

Installation & Verification

Verify the complete part number, mounting orientation, M10×1 base, connector and cable arrangement before replacement. Follow the manufacturer's mounting and termination instructions, then confirm the signal at the monitoring input before returning the measurement point to service.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What measurement principle does this sensor use? It uses a two-wire moving-coil design that generates a voltage proportional to vibration velocity.
2. What mounting and connector options are specified? This configuration specifies a 0° mounting orientation, top-mounted connector without an integral cable and a circular M10×1 mounting base.
3. Is an external power supply required? No. The moving-coil transducer does not require external power.
4. Which details should be checked before replacing an installed sensor? Confirm the measurement principle, sensitivity, frequency range, mounting, connector, cable arrangement and monitoring input.
