The probe case torque is a mechanical installation limit, not the torque for the coaxial connector. Avoid excessive thread engagement; for a 1/4-28 probe, the listed maximum thread engagement is 0.375 in.

The following are 3300 XL NSv transducer-system specifications, not independent probe-only performance ratings. Published conditions include a −24 Vdc supply, a 10 kΩ load, a suitable AISI 4140 steel target, and a 1.0 mm gap unless otherwise specified.

Supply voltage more positive than −23.5 Vdc can reduce linear range. The 7.0 m resistance value is for the probe length only; it does not represent the complete probe-plus-extension-cable circuit.

• Keep the specified target material, target geometry and probe gap in mind when assessing measurement accuracy.

• Closely spaced probes can interact electromagnetically and cause cross-talk. For the published arrangement, minimum tip separation is 25 mm for axial-position measurements and 23 mm for radial-vibration measurements.

• ClickLoc connectors lock into place. Connector protectors help prevent liquid ingress; connector torque is specified as finger-tight, with a maximum of 0.56 N·m (5 in·lb).

• The probe uses a Viton O-ring to seal differential pressure between its tip and case. Probes are not pressure-tested before shipment; where pressure-seal verification is essential, arrange an appropriate test before installation.

• The system includes a probe, extension cable and Proximitor Sensor. A replacement probe alone does not resolve faults caused by a damaged cable, loose connector, incorrect gap or incompatible monitoring configuration.
