The Bently Nevada 3500/32 125712-01 is a full-height 4-Channel Relay Module providing four dedicated relay outputs for the 3500 machinery protection system. This module features high slot flexibility, allowing any number of 4-Channel Relay Modules to be placed in any position to the right of the Rack Interface Module (RIM). Each output of the 125712-01 can be independently programmed to perform needed voting logic, ensuring decentralized control of machinery protection sequences.
Central to the module's functionality is the "Alarm Drive Logic" built into each relay. This logic is programmed using AND and OR logic gates to process data from various monitor channels. By utilizing these logic strings, the module can execute sophisticated voting schemes across multiple monitor channels in the rack. This architecture allows the 3500/32 to trigger specific relay states based on the complex operational requirements of the machinery being monitored.
All configuration of the Alarm Drive Logic is handled via the 3500 Rack Configuration Software. The module utilizes alarming inputs—including Alerts and Dangers—from any single monitor channel or any combination of channels within the rack. This software-driven setup allows the 4-Channel Relay Module to be precisely tailored to meet specific application needs, mapping sensor-driven alerts directly to physical relay outputs for critical machine trips or annunciator functions.
