Product Description
The RTD Input Interface Module (FBM03) contains eight Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) input channels. Each channel can accept 2-, 3-, or 4-wire RTD sensor inputs within a 0 to 320 ohm resistance range. However, within the same module, 3-wire RTDs cannot be mixed with 2- or 4-wire RTDs.
The module performs the signal conversion necessary to interface the electrical input signals from the RTDs to the redundant Fieldbus. It functions as a main type module, independently connecting to the redundant Fieldbus to ensure reliable data transmission.
The FBM03 module executes the Analog Input application program. The configurable options available for this program include Analog Input Resolution (configurable on a per-module basis), Fieldbus Switching Enable, and Fieldbus Switching Time, allowing flexibility for various process requirements.
