The VM600Mk2 / VM600 ABE040 and ABE042 system racks are engineered to house hardware for the VM600 series of machinery protection and condition monitoring systems.
Two versions are available: the ABE040 and the ABE042, which differ only in the position of their mounting brackets. Both racks have a standard height of 6U and provide space for up to 15 single-width modules (card pairs), or a combination of single- and multiple-width modules. These racks are ideal for industrial environments where equipment must be permanently installed in 19″ cabinets or panels, with different versions supporting flexible mounting options for various markets and applications.
The racks feature an integrated VME backplane that handles all electrical interconnections between installed VM600 modules, including power supply, signal processing, I/O, relay, and CPU "rack controller" modules. A power supply check relay at the rear of the rack indicates the operational status of the installed RPS6U power supplies.
One or two RPS6U rack power supplies can be installed. A single 330 W power supply is sufficient for a full rack of modules at operating temperatures up to 50 °C (122 °F). Two power supplies can provide redundancy or extended power capacity for a wider range of environmental conditions.

- Processing modules are installed at the front of the rack, while input/output modules are installed at the rear.
- Input/output modules provide connectors for sensors and measurement chains, as well as interfaces to external systems such as DCS or PLC.
- Racks are generally factory-configured and supplied ready-to-use. Each module can also be reconfigured using VM600 MPSx or VibroSight® software to suit specific machinery monitoring applications.
