The VM600 CPUM/IOCN rack controller and communications interface card brings full connectivity and control to your VM600 system. Supporting Modbus RTU/TCP and PROFINET, it allows "one-shot" configuration of MPC4 and AMC8 protection cards via Ethernet or RS-232 using the VM600 MPSx software—making setup fast and effortless.

System Integration & Applications
The VM600 CPUM / IOCN rack controller and communications interface card pair is ideal for systems with multiple monitoring cards in a VM600 rack. It simplifies installation, configuration, management, and day-to-day operation of a VM600 machinery monitoring system.
As a rack controller, it can manage MPC4 / IOC4T, AMC8 / IOC8T, and XMx16 / XIO16T card pairs, including hot-swapping, removing the need for a VibroSight Server in some setups.
As a communications interface, it allows measurement data from VM600 monitoring cards (MPC4, AMC8, and/or XMC16) to be shared and processed by third-party systems such as a DCS or PLC, using industry-standard fieldbuses.

Front Panel & Display
LCD display shows information for both the CPUM and protection cards in the rack. SLOT and OUT keys let you select which signals to display. LED indicators show status for OK, Alert (A), and Danger (D) signals. Selecting Slot 0 displays the overall rack status.
DIAG LED: solid green indicates normal operation; blinking green means the CPUM is operating normally but access is restricted due to rack security.
ALARM RESET button clears alarms latched by all MPC4 and AMC8 protection cards, acting as a rack-wide reset.

Flexible Installation
Front-panel connectors provide access to the primary Ethernet and serial connections. When paired with an IOCN card, primary and secondary connections can be routed through the IOCN front panel, simplifying wiring and installation.
The CPUM card offers a compact, flexible, and reliable way to manage VM600 rack control, communications, and monitoring, making system setup, integration, and operation easier than ever.
