VIBRO METER GSI 124 Galvanic Isolation Module
The versatile GSI 124 galvanic separation unit replaces its predecessors: GSI 122, GSI 123, and GSI 130. It is designed for use with piezo-electric transducers with integrated electronics (e.g., CE XXX), piezo-electric transducer signal conditioners (e.g., IPC XXX), and proximity probe signal conditioners (e.g., IQS 4XX series).
The unit is intended for use in 2-wire transmission systems at high frequencies, but more generally, it can supply any electronic system with a consumption of less than 20 mA. By avoiding the use of Zener barriers in Exi applications, the GSI 124 provides a more efficient and flexible solution for signal transmission.
The GSI 124 allows AC signal transmission over long distances while rejecting a significant amount of RMS ground noise. It also prevents AC noise pickup that can occur between the sensor case and the sensor poles, ensuring reliable and accurate signal processing.
