Product Description
GSI122 Galvanic Separation Unit with DC to 10 kHz Pass-Band and ≥4 kV Galvanic Separation 0
The GSI 122/130 galvanic separation unit is designed for supplying transducers and conditioners while reading their output signals. It operates in 2-wire transmission systems and can power any electronic system with consumption below 20 mA.
This unit provides a voltage signal proportional to the current consumed by the conditioner, available for direct analysis. The GSI 122/130 prevents issues caused by voltage differences between measurement points and signal processing equipment, such as earth loops.
The GSI 122 Version 20x complies with CENELEC and CSA standards for powering equipment in explosive areas. It eliminates the need for Zener barriers, which typically introduce voltage drops and limit transmission line length and system dynamic range.
