Application & Failure Scenarios

The 3300 XL NSv system is intended for machinery with restricted installation space, including centrifugal air compressors, refrigeration compressors and process gas compressors.

It supports radial vibration, radial position, axial position, tachometer, zero-speed and phase-reference measurements when used in the complete transducer system.

Cable damage, connector contamination or an intermittent signal may prompt a replacement search. An unresolved measurement-channel fault can reduce machinery-condition visibility and complicate maintenance decisions.

System Matching

The 3300 NSv probe and extension cable are mechanically and electrically compatible and interchangeable with the earlier 3300 RAM probe and extension cable.

Before ordering, verify the installed probe, Proximitor Sensor, cable length and construction options. The probe length plus extension-cable length must match the Proximitor Sensor's specified total system length.

Inspection & Diagnostics

When a proximity measurement becomes unstable or disappears, inspect the cable and connectors before attributing the fault to another transducer component.

• Check for visible cable damage, kinks or connector contamination.
• Inspect connection security and the installed cable arrangement.

Before You Order

Check the complete installed measurement assembly rather than selecting a cable by length alone.

Include the existing part number and machine or system details when requesting a quotation so the required configuration can be reviewed.

Delivery & Warranty

Inspection: Part identification and applicable checks are agreed for the order.

Packaging: Protective packaging is selected for the cable and connectors.

DOA / Returns: Report suspected arrival damage promptly with photographs and order details; obtain return authorization before sending goods back.
