ABB PM891K01, article 3BSE053241R1, is a single AC 800M processor package for high-performance control, Control Network communication and optical S800 I/O. It is a self-contained processor unit and does not use the TP830 baseplate found on other PM8xx families.

Use CN1 for a single network. Use CN1 and CN2 when the controller is engineered for a redundant Control Network.
The unit has optical ModuleBus only. It supports seven clusters, each with up to twelve modules; redundant and non-redundant modules may be mixed within ABB limits.
Communication interfaces are added on the CEX-Bus. ABB specifies up to twelve interfaces; BC810 can divide the bus into independent segments.
The PM891 has no internal battery. If retained memory requires battery support, engineer the ABB external battery option and include its condition in the maintenance plan.
For processor redundancy, ABB uses two separate links: TK855 for RCU data and TK856 for RCU control. The redundant arrangement also connects both processors to the same CEX-Bus and uses optical ModuleBus with two TB840 units for S800 I/O.
K01 identifies the single-processor package. Do not treat a second loose CPU as a complete redundant conversion without checking the ABB redundancy cables, CEX-Bus arrangement, I/O connection and project configuration.
