Triconex 4352B Communication Module with Fiber-Optic Connectivity

For installations using the TCM with fiber connectors (model 4352B), you will need to provide your own fiber-optic cables. The fiber cable you purchase should meet these specifications:

• Multimode 62.5/125 um cable
• Maximum length of 1.24 miles (2 kilometers)
• Compliance with ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-B.3 standards

Every Tricon controller requires a Main Chassis and can support up to 14 Expansion or RXM Chassis. At least one ACM, NCM, EICM, or TCM module is necessary for TriStation PC connectivity.

Module Installation Guidelines:

• ACM, EICM, or NCM modules: 1 logical slot, installable in left and right positions
• TCM modules: 2 logical slots, left and right in each slot, supporting up to 4 TCMs total
• COM slot: supports only TCM, NCM, or EICM modules

Important Compatibility Notes:

• Do not mix NCM and TCM or EICM and TCM in the same system
• Certain TCM models (4351A/B, 4352A/B, 4353, 4354) cannot coexist with older 4351 or 4352 TCMs, even in separate chassis
• All communication modules must be housed in the Main Chassis or Chassis 2

When using Chassis 2, connect it directly to the Main Chassis using I/O Comm Cables (model 9001), not standard I/O Bus Cables. Chassis 2 can function as either an I/O Expansion Chassis or a Primary RXM Chassis.
