The Allen-Bradley 1394C-AM04 is a multi-axis module from Series C in the 1394 family. With specifications similar to other multi-axis modules, it delivers 3 kW peak power. This module provides 4.5 Amps continuous output current (RMS), with peak current reaching 9 Amps within one second.
The 1394C-AM04 operates with a nominal input voltage range of 530 to 680 Volts DC and features 110 microFarad capacitance, matching the 1394C-AM03 model. Weighing 5 kilograms, the module includes an integrated heatsink within its cabinet.
Featuring a convenient slide-and-lock mechanism, the 1394C-AM04 simplifies wiring modifications. Exercise caution when connecting and routing power or signal wiring, as radiated noise from nearby electronic drives can interfere with feedback, communications, and other sensitive low-voltage signals.
To ensure optimal operation, implement cable shielding to minimize radiated noise and connect all shields to a single ground point. Insulate open-ended shields (resolver feedback cable at the resolver and velocity command cable at the servo drive) to prevent ground loops. Consult the manual for detailed installation guidance.

Each module supports up to four axis modules, resulting in significant panel space and interconnect savings.
Series C Enhanced Features
Series C system modules (catalog numbers 1394C-SJTxx-x) and axis modules (catalog numbers 1394C-AMxx and -AMxx-IH) include advanced features not available on Series A and B modules (catalog numbers 1394-SJTxx-x and 1394-AMxx).
Series C system modules are fully interchangeable with Series A and B modules. Similarly, Series A, B, and C axis modules maintain complete interoperability.
