Product Description
The 4119A EICM enables seamless communication between your Tricon system and Modbus devices, TriStation, and printers. It supports multiple connection types including RS-232 for point-to-point communication with one master and one slave, or RS-485 for one master and up to 32 slaves. The RS-485 network operates on one or two twisted-pair wires with a range of up to 4,000 feet (1,200 meters). Each EICM features four serial ports and one parallel port, all capable of simultaneous operation.

Key Features
Each serial port can function as a Modbus master, supporting up to seven masters per Tricon chassis. Supports both RTU and ASCII modes for Modbus communication. The parallel port provides a Centronics printer interface with maximum aggregate data rate of 57.6 kbps across all four serial ports. Two EICMs can be installed in a single Tricon system (sharing one logical slot). Features unique addressing for each serial port and supports TriStation or Modbus interfaces. While hot-spare is not supported, faulty EICMs can be replaced while the controller is online. Includes alias system for assigning five-digit numbers to Tricon variables for Modbus access.
