What is the main function of this module?
It serves as a simple interface between the sensor and the field monitoring system. It receives signals from the dual linear velocity sensor and converts them into data for vibration monitoring of rotating equipment.
Can I use -01-00 instead of -02-00?
No, they are not interchangeable. -02-00 is for two-wire sensors, while -01-00 is for other types of sensors. Using the wrong model number will usually result in no signal received or incorrect readings.
Do I need to turn off the power to replace it?
Not usually. These modules support hot-swap in most setups. Even so, it’s better to pause any shutdown or alarm functions on that channel just to avoid unwanted trips during replacement.
What if the “OK” light stays off after installation?
Check the wiring first. With 2-wire systems, it’s often caused by reversed polarity or a loose connection. If the wiring looks fine, try placing the module in a different slot to see whether the problem is with the module itself or the base.
