FOXboro FBM211
Analog Input Series
The Foxboro FBM211 is a 16-channel analog input module designed for 20 mA DC signal acquisition. It accepts two-wire analog sensor inputs, including 4–20 mA transmitters, supported line-monitored digital inputs with end-of-line resistors, and self-powered 20 mA sources.

A multiplexed Sigma-Delta converter processes the input signals. Configurable conversion time and integration settings allow the analog input application to manage signal acquisition and reduce unwanted process noise.

The module interfaces field sensor signals to the redundant module Fieldbus through the applicable Foxboro system arrangement.
PART NUMBER IDENTIFICATION
P0914TN is the earlier part number associated with FBM211. The May 2025 Foxboro specification identifies RH914TN as the superseding module part number. Confirm the required part number and system configuration before ordering.

Termination Assembly Selection
The correct assembly depends on the field transmitter power arrangement and terminal construction.
Power Arrangement PA Construction PVC Construction
External DC power RH916JT P0916PQ
FBM auxiliary +24 V RH916BT P0916BU
PA termination assemblies: −20 to +70 °C. PVC termination assemblies: −20 to +50 °C. P0916PQ and P0916BU are identified as not RoHS compliant.
Understanding Group Isolation
The 16 inputs are arranged in two groups of eight. Each group is isolated from ground and module logic. Channels within the same group are not galvanically isolated from one another. This distinction is important when checking field wiring and grounding arrangements.
04 / FUNCTIONAL HIGHLIGHTS
Designed for Process Signal Handling
01
Sigma-Delta Conversion
A multiplexed converter processes the input channels and converts measured signals into digital values.
02
Configurable Integration
The integration period can be configured to help reduce process noise and power-line frequency interference.
03
Redundant Fieldbus
The module communicates through a redundant 2 Mbps module Fieldbus architecture.
04
Front-Panel Indicators
Red and green LEDs on the module front provide visual status indications.
Typical Application Context
The FBM211 is intended for current-signal acquisition from field instrumentation. Actual application suitability depends on the installed DCS configuration, transmitter type, termination assembly, loop-power arrangement and engineering settings.
