Bently Nevada 330101-00-20-20-02-RU Sensor Probe Cable
Mechanical Configuration: Fully Threaded Probe Body (-00)
This configuration specifies a fully threaded probe body engineered for applications requiring maximum engagement within a bracket-mount or where a secondary jam nut must be positioned at the probe-tip end for high-vibration stability. It eliminates the smooth-bore section common in sensors designed for deep-hole gland installations.
Case Length Optimization: 2.0-inch Threaded Case (-20)
The 2.0-inch (approximately 51mm) threaded case is optimized for thrust (position) or radial (vibration) sensing in bearing housings where the mounting wall thickness is under 40mm. If the housing requires deeper reach to maintain the 1.27mm (50 mil) gap, longer case lengths (e.g., -40 or -60) must be specified to prevent the integral cable-to-probe junction from being recessed within the mounting hole.
Connector Specifications: ClickLoc™ Connector (-02)
The -02 option utilizes the standard miniature coaxial connector with a positive-lock mechanism to prevent vibration-induced decoupling. While not hermetically sealed, for installations exposed to high-pressure oil mist or coolant, the use of FluidLoc™ cable or silicone-based connector protectors is mandatory to prevent signal attenuation via moisture wicking.
Material Sensitivity: RU-Certified Probe Calibration
The 330101 is factory-calibrated for AISI 4140 steel. When targeting non-ferrous alloys or 300-series stainless steel, the scale factor will deviate. For RU-market projects involving non-standard metallurgy, a Scale Factor Correction (SFC) must be applied within the 3500/42M monitor configuration software to maintain metrological integrity.
Hazardous Area Certification: Intrinsic Safety (Ex ia)
Under the EAC TR CU certification, the 330101-00-20-20-02-RU is rated for Intrinsic Safety (Ex ia) when used with the appropriate Bently Nevada Proximitor® and Zener barriers/Galvanic isolators. Field technicians must ensure the Entity Parameters (Ui, Ii, Pi, Ci, Li) on the EAC certificate match the logic solver's output.
