Product Description
The IC693PTM101 is a Power Transducer Module designed for the Series 90-30 PLC platform. This module is primarily used for electrical consumption analysis and voltage monitoring between electrical generators and distribution grids. It is a programmable, intelligent device capable of operating in single-phase mode, three-phase mode, and synchro monitor mode, allowing it to perform a wide range of monitoring and analysis functions.
The module is installed on a Series 90-30 baseplate and is intended for direct connection to current transformers (CTs) and potential transformers (PTs) for electrical data acquisition. The IC693PTM101 consists of three main components: a processing module, an interface board, and an interface cable. It supports both Wye and Delta three-phase systems, as well as single-phase power systems, providing flexibility across different power distribution architectures.
The IC693PTM101 performs accurate RMS measurements of voltage and current, and calculates real power, reactive power, power factor, frequency, energy, and total demand over a standard 15-minute demand interval for three-phase systems. Functionally, it provides capabilities similar to a power meter, while offering additional operating modes and direct integration with a PLC. This enables simplified data acquisition, reporting, and system-level analysis without the need for standalone metering devices.
In addition to measurement functions, the module supports data reporting, fault monitoring, and generator-to-grid synchronization. It can also be applied in load shedding strategies and demand penalty cost reduction programs. Compatibility is maintained across all Series 90-30 PLC CPUs, and the processing module may be installed on CPU, expansion, or remote baseplates, allowing flexible system layouts and reducing long cable runs.
