Installation & Configuration Steps
Step 1: Power Connection - Connect the module to the L+ DC supply. Ensure correct polarity and stable voltage within specification.
Step 2: Output Wiring - Connect each of the 4 PM-switching output channels to solenoid valves, DC contactors, or signal lamps. Confirm channel rating: 2 A per output.
Step 3: Channel Configuration - Configure each output for the required operating mode (PM-switching). Set FAILOPT behavior per channel, if applicable (hold last value or safe state).
Step 4: Status Monitoring - Check green LEDs for each output to verify normal operation. Monitor red LEDs for fault indications on individual channels.
Step 5: Diagnostic Verification - Observe DIAG red/green LED for module-level diagnostics. Confirm channel-specific diagnostics: short circuit, wire break, missing load voltage.
Step 6: Safety Integration - For direct interconnection to F-DI modules: Single-channel connection → SIL1, Two-channel connection → SIL3. Verify compliance with safety category and SIL requirements.
Step 7: Passivation / Maintenance - Apply channel-specific or module-wide passivation if needed. Perform periodic checks to ensure diagnostic and status indications are functional.
