The 990 Vibration Transmitter is engineered for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of centrifugal air compressors, as well as small pumps, motors, and fans. It delivers a simple 4 to 20 mA proportional vibration signal for direct input into machinery control systems, enabling seamless integration with existing control and monitoring infrastructure.
This two-wire, loop-powered device accepts input from the 3300 NSv proximity probe along with matching extension cables, available in 5 m and 7 m system lengths. The combination ensures precise and reliable vibration measurement while offering flexible installation configurations.
The 990 conditions incoming signals into peak-to-peak vibration amplitude engineering units and outputs this as a proportional 4 to 20 mA industry-standard signal. This output is utilized by control systems for comprehensive machinery protection, including alarm generation and logic processing, ensuring safe and efficient equipment operation.
Integrated Sensor & Signal Output
Built-in Proximitor Sensor eliminates the need for external units. Non-isolated PROX OUT and COM terminals, along with a coaxial connector, provide dynamic vibration and gap voltage signals for advanced diagnostic monitoring.
Precision Adjustment & Verification
Non-interacting zero and span potentiometers located under the transmitter label enable precise loop calibration without cross-interference. Test Input pin facilitates rapid verification of loop signal output using a function generator, streamlining commissioning and maintenance procedures.

Not OK / Signal Defeat circuit prevents high outputs or false alarms caused by faulty proximity probes or loose connections, ensuring dependable machinery protection. Potted construction withstands high humidity environments (up to 100% condensing), maintaining operational integrity.
