Bipolar Current Connection
A bipolar current configuration enables system output currents ranging from -20 mA to +20 mA. Key operational characteristics:
  • Total output current is calculated as the difference between two module currents: IG1 = I11 - I21 or IG2 = I12 - I22
  • Permissible burden resistance remains unchanged
  • Module 1 manages the positive current portion while Module 2 handles the negative portion
  • For optimal accuracy, only one module should generate or absorb current at any given time, as defined in the user program
Redundant Current Connection
In redundant configuration setups, consider these critical factors:
  • Total current delivered to the burden (IG1 or IG2) equals the sum of both module outputs: IG1 = I11 + I21, IG2 = I12 + I22
  • Admissible burden resistance is reduced by half
  • Paired channels must operate in identical modes—either both sourcing or both sinking current
  • To balance thermal effects and ensure uniform loading, each module should contribute half of the total current delivered to the burden

Industrial Applications
The F6705 excels in demanding industrial environments:
  • Refining & Petrochemical: Provides precise control over flow and pressure during crude cracking and chemical processing, ensuring process stability and safety
  • Offshore Oil & Gas: Engineered for harsh marine environments with resistance to salt, vibration, and isolation challenges
  • Power & Steel: Manages heavy energy loads in blast furnace temperature regulation and turbine output control applications
