FOXBORO FBM207C Voltage Monitor with 16 Channels Galvanically Isolated for Redundant Setup 0
Every input is galvanically isolated from the others and from ground, and when combined with external excitation, groups of channels remain isolated too. The module converts signals from field sensors into a format that the redundant Fieldbus can understand. On top of that, it can run programs for discrete inputs, ladder logic, pulse counting, and sequences of events, with flexible input filter timing options.
You can use a single FBM207 on its own, or pair two together for redundancy. In a redundant setup, both modules share a termination assembly via a redundant adapter, doubling the input current but ensuring reliability. The Foxboro Evo™ Control Software has a special block that validates redundant inputs and automatically picks the one with the best signal quality. Contact sense power is safely diode OR'd together, and a redundant contact input function block (CINR) keeps both modules synchronized, reading inputs identically on each cycle and fully exercising the fieldbus and module logic.

Key Notes & Installation Guidelines
Termination Assemblies: Polyamide termination assemblies rated from -20 to +70°C (-4 to +158°F).
Termination Type:
C = TA with compression terminals.
RL = TA with ring lug terminals.
Cable Type: Type 4 (See manufacturer Table 2 for full cable specs).
RoHS Compliance: Polyamide RL supersedes the PVC RL; note that the older PVC version is not a RoHS part.
Installation Warning: To avoid false tripping of AC type inputs, care should be taken in routing long wiring or bundled runs to minimize coupling from adjacent signals and/or noise from heavy equipment. When possible, DC excitation of input circuits is recommended for runs greater than 305 m (1000 ft).
