Fiber Optic Connection Overview

The module connects to the drive (NAMC/NDCO board) via fiber optic cables. Please note the color coding of the fiber optic connectors:

  • Blue connector should connect to the Blue receiver (RXD)
  • Grey (or Black) connector should connect to the Grey transmitter (TXD)
  • Multiple modules in a single channel are connected in a ring topology
Fiber Optic Handling Precautions
  • Handle fiber optics with care
  • Maximum long-term tensile load: 1 N
  • Minimum long-term bend radius: 25 mm
  • Do not touch the fiber optic tips; they are very sensitive to dust
  • Use grommets where fiber optics pass through holes
