| Communication Interface (T8151B) |
The T8151B communication interface provides a comprehensive range of communication services for the controller, effectively minimizing communication loading of the TMR processor. This module enables seamless communications with other Trusted systems, engineering workstations, and third-party equipment.
The user-configurable module supports multiple communication media and features dual Ethernet ports, four serial ports accessible via the T8153 communications interface adapter, plus a front-accessible diagnostic port.
Installable in any single-width slot of a controller or expander chassis, this module supports peer-to-peer communication only when installed in the controller chassis. It offers ten Modbus (RTU) protocol connections via the Ethernet TCP/IP stack (default IP port 2000) and one fixed programming toolset connection (port 6000).
Additional features include support for up to ten Modicon open Modbus TCP connections on port 502 and dual redundant +24V DC power supply from the chassis backplane.
