Engineered for NAMUR NE43 compliance, the AAI143 detects current dropping below 3.6mA (down to 0mA) during field-side open circuits. The S1 firmware immediately flags data status as "Bad" or "OOP" (Out of Range), allowing control strategies to automatically switch to fail-safe mode or manual tracking.
Hot-Swapping Capability
The AAI143-S50 supports hot insertion and extraction, allowing replacement of faulty modules while the FIO node remains powered. The S1 revision requires proper redundancy configuration synchronization. Always detach field-side terminal blocks first to prevent transient sparking during physical swaps.
