Yokogawa ALR121-S50 Communication Module
The ALR121-S50 Communication Module provides serial communication interfaces that support a single, predefined communication function per module. Field Control Stations exchange data with connected subsystems through these modules, either collecting process data or transmitting control calculation results using builder functions.
Within one communication module, only one communication function can be selected, and this function is applied to both communication ports. The two ports on an ALR121-S50 module must operate with identical communication functions and transmission parameters.
Supported communication functions and their corresponding transmission speeds for each module type are predefined and fixed. These specifications are detailed in the configuration table and must be selected according to connected subsystem requirements.
This design ensures deterministic communication behavior, consistent timing characteristics, and simplified configuration within the FCS communication architecture.
