The IS220PRTDH1B serves as a localized I/O pack within the Mark VIe control infrastructure, bridging field-level thermal instrumentation with the IONet digital backbone. This intelligent node digitizes analog resistance data at the point of acquisition, shifting signal processing to the edge to mitigate noise interference issues inherent in long-run analog cabling. For plant operators, this delivers high-fidelity temperature feedback into the DCS, ensuring critical turbine components remain within thermal design envelopes during high-load transients.
The module features an eight-channel density specifically tuned for 100Ω Platinum (Pt100) RTDs, covering an extensive range from -200°C to +850°C. This enables monitoring from cryogenic applications to extreme exhaust gas analytics. The PRTDH1B incorporates internal lead-wire compensation logic with 3-wire configuration support that eliminates resistance errors caused by field wiring distances. Combined with on-board linearization and cold-junction processing, the module maintains precise accuracy even when ambient cabinet temperatures fluctuate between rated extremes of -40°C and +70°C.
Designed for compact deployment at 0.36kg, the IS220PRTDH1B seats directly onto TRTD terminal boards via a standard DC-37 pin connector.
